Who could have imagined that in the vast city of Beijing, tucked away in a corner of Shijingshan District, there exists a school like this?

This is a school funded by caring individuals from all sectors of society. Along the way, it has weathered countless challenges and hardships. The children at Huangzhuang School are mostly hardworking and resilient, equipped with strong survival skills—they can wash clothes and even prepare meals for their parents who work away from home.
Huangzhuang School, formerly a primary school for migrant workers' children, has provided a home for nearly 2,000 kids.
Meanwhile, Madajie Food partnered with the China Children and Teenagers' Fund to give children the opportunity to chase their dreams.

On June 25, the "Longest Paper Airplane Formation" Guinness World Records challenge—initiated jointly by Madajie Food and the China Children and Teenagers' Fund under the theme "Cherishing Every Moment, Loving Together: Flying Our Dreams"—kicked off with a thousand-participant event at Huangzhuang School in Shijingshan, Beijing.
To avoid disrupting the children's regular study time, at 7:35 a.m., 1,975 students from Huangzhuang School neatly and uniformly moved their chairs to the playground. As teachers distributed origami materials to the kids, the principal of Huangzhuang School read out the competition guidelines and officially declared the event open. Immediately afterward, the children eagerly began folding paper airplanes—each sheet of paper swiftly transforming into lifelike, detailed models under the careful guidance of their tiny hands. Later, the children wrote down their personal dreams on the finished paper airplanes.

After the students launched their dream-filled paper airplanes and returned to class, we interviewed Principal Wang from Beijing Shijingshan Huangzhuang School. With a heartfelt tone, he said, "We should integrate traditional hands-on cultural education into our curriculum—perhaps by offering craft classes or activity-based lessons. This way, we can help children steer clear of the negative impacts of mobile gaming. I’ve seen many kids write down their aspirations for the future on the planes, which is truly meaningful."

When the principal mentioned the loving care packages donated by the community, his eyes lit up with joy. Everything is for the children—whenever it’s for their benefit, he’s more than willing to help.
“This event allows children to experience the joy of traditional handcrafted games, encouraging them to spend less time playing mobile games,” Principal Wang added.

The "Year-Long Memories, Love Together—Flying Our Dreams" public welfare campaign, launched just before Children's Day in hundreds of kindergartens and primary schools across Guangxi, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Hebei, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Henan, Shandong, Chongqing, Liaoning, Beijing, Jiangsu, Anhui, and other provinces, has steadily received tens of thousands of origami airplanes from children nationwide, each carefully folded with their heartfelt dreams written on them.
The public welfare activity "Cherishing Time, Returning to Tradition" allowed people to not only appreciate the charm of China's traditional culture but also gain a deeper understanding of Madajie, the ethnic brand.

The revival and rise of China's traditional culture have continued to gain momentum in recent years. While material needs are being met, China is also undergoing a transition—from reliance on material desires toward an increasing focus on spiritual fulfillment.
