The 2010 China Candy Culture Festival and the 7th China International Confectionery and Snack Food Exhibition were held at the Shanghai International Exhibition Center in the Hongqiao Economic Development Zone from October 28th to 30th, 2010. The exhibition was open to trade professionals only on October 28th and 29th, while both professionals and consumers could attend on October 30th. The exhibition covered 10,000 square meters and attracted over 150 exhibitors showcasing more than 300 well-known brands, including Beijing Madajie, Shanghai Guanshengyuan, Fujian Yake, Guangzhou Haobangyou, Hainan Yedao, and international brands from 18 countries: Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, France, the UK, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Tunisia, the US, South Korea, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Japan, India, and Singapore. A wide variety of candies, biscuits, chocolates, ice cream, puffed foods, and snacks were on display.
In addition to the finished product exhibition area, this year's "Machinery and Raw Materials Zone," featuring raw materials, additives, processing machinery, and packaging equipment for confectionery and snack foods, also became a focal point. Eighty percent of the exhibitors in this area were international brands, including Bosch, Chocolait, Lehmann Engineering from Germany; Bühler from Switzerland; and Kopack from South Korea.
This year's China International Confectionery and Snack Food Exhibition was jointly organized by Koelnmesse GmbH (Germany) and the Candy Professional Committee of the China Food Industry Association. A special forum on "Health, Convenience, and Enjoyment—Technology and Market Innovation in Confectionery and Snack Foods" was also held concurrently with the exhibition.
